We have been rehersing at Stowe by Chartley for the last month, Tony Steve and Spencer, Tom Woodworth resident of Bath was rehersing his end. We finalised on the 1.75hour set with approx 30songs for the night. Geoff Eccleshall was a key person for this show, has he was our sound engineer for the night.
The weather that day was cold, very grey and drizzly, arrived at the Hotel at 4.30pm, moved all my gear into the Stables Room, Geoff met me at the same time, we were all set up for road testing at 6.30pm.
On the night Cynth, Jan and Claire arrived about 7.30pm, we had some drinks in the house bar,the folk band arrived, which Geoff set up their sound for the night, met up with Martin, and Kath Raybould, also met up with Diane.
We kicked in at 10pm and came of 11.45 after many encours, seemed to me a good tight set of music, Tom was a great entertainer with his bass moves and grooves, i finally was in bed at 2.30am sunday morning, well done all and all the best for the future to Natalie and Phillip xxx
